Meet the Team
We’re an entirely volunteer-run organization. Meet the board of directors & volunteers that make the magic happen!
Board of Directors
President & FounderBill Cameron
Bill is a life-long taker-apart of things. Whether it's held together by screws, clips, or anything but the strongest of glues, chances are he's had it open, either to fix it, to collect spare parts, or just to satisfy his curiosity. This, of course, led him to employment fixing cars, cell phones, computers, and copiers, and ever-changing hobbies including analog photography, vintage typewriters, lockpicking, and 3d printing.
Experiences attending Maker Faire and the Hackers on Planet Earth conference, along with his youngest son's creativity and enthusiasm for mechanical exploration, and his eldest son’s independence & self-determination inspired Bill to envision a makerspace/hackerspace/community workshop and start on this quest to found MakeFixHack.
Founding Board Member, Secretary
Jeremie Davis
Ever since making his first mutant bicycle in Somerville, MA, Jeremie has loved designing & creating new objects in a variety of media (metal, glass, ceramics, paper & wood). A life-long learner, he wants to bring to the Pioneer Valley the types of public Maker Spaces & Classes that he misses from his time in Boston & Chicago.
Hailing from France but raised in the city of sin (Lynn, MA) he enjoys learning languages, making stuff, hiking, gardening, cinema & absurdism.
Founding Board Member, Treasurer
Brandon Hartshorn
There's video evidence of Brandon, under 3 ft tall, helping his dad fix the VCR. That may have been the start to his lifelong love of taking things apart, sometimes fixing them, and other times making things from the scraps. Nowadays, his fascination with creation and repair is motivated by a deep desire for a slower, more sustainable, and more resilient society. Often idealistic to a fault, Brandon hopes to see every person empowered to repair and create their own tools and art.
Founding Board Member
Rachel Beane
Rachel has a background in sculpture and printmaking and has worked in hands-on learning environments for the last twenty years. She is always excited to play with new materials and learn about new tools, but she particularly likes woodworking, welding, and sewing.
Founding Board Member
Enrico Grillo
Enrico is a technical generalist with a background in software and hardware implementations for the arts, specifically large-scale experiential public events, live entertainment, and cinema.
Board Member

Katrina is an interdisciplinary artist weaving craft with technology. She has a passion for mediums and techniques of all kinds including knitting, beading, weaving, video, and animation. Volunteers
Dave Terkanian
Dave Terkanian hails from the outer reaches of Cape Cod, where reuse, repair, and repurposing are core values. He has been an economist, an IT specialist, and a vacuum repair tech professionally. His hobbies range from musical composition, to woodworking, to gardening, to organization.
Isobel McMahon
Isobel tends to bite off more than she can chew. She likes woodworking, electronics, music projects, and is always happy to lend a hand with whatever you're working on. Her kids are also makers and tinkerers so she's learning software to work with the laser cutter and 3d printers to help them with their projects.
Marshall Ballantyne
Raised in rural Vermont, Marshall recently moved to Northampton after spending several years in the outer boroughs of New York City. They have been involved in food recovery, mutual aid, and art activism projects while working as a software accessibility engineer in educational technology.
Mars is glad to have found a group of hackers and DIYers who are creating inclusive third spaces that encourage creativity!
In the wild, you can often find them gardening, volunteering, making or listening to music, hiking, arting and crafting, writing, reading, cooking, or drinking coffee.
